Manufacturers around the world often need assistance in identifying and developing overseas markets for their products. To help Indonesian manufacturers, the National Agency For Export Development (NAFED) was set up in 1971 as a special service agency of the Ministry of Trade, now the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Nafed’s Mission is :
- To formulate policy and establish guidelines for encouraging and supporting the expansion of non-oil and gas exports
- To provide information services and market co-ordination
- To implement and co-ordinate export promotion
- To expand the range of export products and markets.
Since 1971, Nafed s expert staff of over 300 have built up 30-years experience in assisting thousands of companies, large and small, to sell their products in markets around the world. Nafed provides a comprehensive range of services including market identification and research, advice on export procedures, regulations and financing, and invitations to take part in trade fairs and trade missions at home and abroad. To create a central pool of information Nafed has developed a computerized Trade Information Network, on line with several regional offices as well as with international data banks for assisting both buyers and sellers. The Agency maintains a database of thousands of Indonesian manufacturers classified by-products as well as another database of foreign buyers who may be of interest to Indonesian exporters. All Nafed s services are free of charge and, as a non-profit organization, NAFED acts as a facilitator linking buyers and sellers. The Agency places special emphasis on expanding the export of non-oil and gas commodities, for years once the mainstay of the economy. It is proactive in identifying manufacturers with suitable products for sale overseas as well as identifying new markets overseas. A substantial portion of Indonesia s export growth is a result of the activities of NAFED together with private companies in penetrating new and non-traditional markets.

Tunas Nusa Hijau Pertiwi, PT
Mr. Iwan Kartawijaya and Mrs. Suliatin Saleh established PT. Tunas Nusa Hijau Pertiwi in 1963. On the early establishment, our company used the name KHK. After ten years, we were expanding the business, proximately on January 30th, 1990.
After the expansion, we changed the name into PT. Tunas Nusa Hijau Pertiwi. As time goes by, we keep changing into better management, better production, and better distribution because we realize that the global market competition is very tight. The competition directs us to have specialties in order to gain the market. Our specialty is producing non-woven material and garments (warp knit/towel).
With that kind of specialties, we are able to gain a niche market where there are fewer competitors. We are not the biggest, that’s why we have to work harder and keep deliveries to our customer demands.
LOGO & CHARACTER There are three visual elements supporting PT. Tunas Nusa Hijau Pertiwi’s logo, which is a stalk of grain, a stalk of cotton, and KHK letters. A stalk of grain and cotton is a symbol of labor and it has a mission toward prosperity.
It is also forming harmony and it becomes a primary need in human life and it can’t be separated from one another. KHK is the initial letters of the original name of Mr. Iwan Kartawijaya, the owner of PT. Tunas Nusa Hijau Pertiwi.
Tirtha Ria, PT
We exist to create value for our customers on a long-term basis by building a business that enhances TIRTHA RIA’S trademarks. This also is our ultimate commitment.
We do this by developing superior finished fabrics; both screens printed and plain dyed that create values for our company, our customers, and the communities in which we do our business.
In creating value, we succeed or fail based on our ability to perform as worthy stewards of several key assets:
• Satisfied customers, who make a good profit selling our products.
• Dora, one of the most recognized trademarks in the textile industry.
• Being a trendsetter rather than a trend follower.
Our people, who are ultimately responsible for building this enterprise Our modern technologies, which must be intelligently improved Our strong global leadership in the textile industry in particular and in the business world in general.
