A method of taking representative samples from bales or packs of textile fibres obtained by inserting a coring tube driven by hand or machine into each package

Note 1 : Core samples can be used for the determination of yield or fineness, but not fibre length.

Note 2 : The term mini-core sampling is applied to small-scale sampling.
