Crimp stability

The ability of a textured yarn to resist the reduction of its crimp by mechanical and/or thermal stress.

Note:Crimp stability is normally expressed as the ratio of values of crimp retraction measured before and after a specified mechanical and/or thermal treatment of the yarn
